Meet Tamika Mapp, a woman whose journey is a testament to resilience and dedication. As the founder and CEO of her own business, Tamika's story began with challenges that she transformed into stepping stones. Becoming a single mother at just 14, she navigated early motherhood with determination, supporting herself and her child by selling Avon products. Her commitment to service shone through as she proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, a journey that not only demonstrated her patriotism but also her strength.

Upon returning home, Tamika's thirst for knowledge and self-improvement led her to earn a college degree, further showcasing her unwavering resolve. But her service to the community didn't stop there. As a Democratic District Leader for the 68th AD, Part D, and a Democratic State Committeewoman, Tamika has been a beacon of hope and change. Her advocacy played a pivotal role in the passage of 'Raise the Age,' a critical legislation aimed at protecting our youth from the harsh realities of Rikers Island.

Tamika’s fight for justice and equity extends to ensuring that low-income housing remains accessible and under Section 9 programming, safeguarding the rights and homes of countless individuals. Her efforts to keep seniors comfortably in their homes reflect her deep understanding of the community’s needs. Tamika Mapp is not just a leader; she's a warrior, a protector, and an inspiration, tirelessly working to create a better, more just world for us all.
